Crocheting Eyes
Using white cotton yarn, make 2 chain stitches (CH).
Row 1: In the second stitch from the hook, crochet 6 single crochets (SC).
Row 2: 2 in 1 (2 SC in one stitch) 6 times (12 stitches). Finish with a slip stitch (SL), cut the yarn, and pull the thread through.
Leave a long enough thread – we will use it later to sew our eye to the ball.
Using black cotton yarn, make 2 chain stitches (CH).
Row 1: In the second stitch from the hook, crochet 6 single crochets (SC), finish with a slip stitch (SL), cut the yarn, and pull the thread through. Also leave a long thread.
Sew the white part of the eye to the ball. Sew on the pupils.
Using the remaining black thread from sewing the pupils, we outline the white part of the eye around the perimeter. The placement of the pupils conveys the mood: for a girl, the pupils are positioned closer to the nose and straight ahead, while for a boy, the pupils look up and to the left.
Embroider the mouth as shown in the picture:
Create the hair, fringe: Fold the black thread 6 times, and tie a large knot at one end.

Using red pastel or blush, draw the cheeks. The boy is ready.
The girl needs a hairstyle. Take the wire and insert it through the ball at the place where you want to make the braids (if the wire is thin, it should be twisted into several layers). Take black acrylic yarn and start wrapping it around the ball and wire in a figure-eight pattern. When the hair is thick enough, start making the braids. Wrap the yarn around the wire on one side, and then on the other side. Create a part by sewing the hairstyle in the middle with a forward stitch. Tie bows. Make the bangs the same way as the boy’s. You can attach a string to the smiley faces on top and hang them in the car or on a backpack, or you can just place them next to your computer or on a shelf – your imagination will suggest the best way to do it.
